Description: This small workshop, aimed at graduate students and young postdocs, will include an introductory lecture on Newton-Okunkov bodies by Lawrence Ein (UIC) and a series of lectures on recent advances given by Alex Küronya (Budapest University of Technology and Economics).
Funding and registration: So we have an idea of how many participants to expect, please email Kevin Tucker (UIC) at kftucker@uic.edu to let us know that you plan to attend, and also to say if you are requesting any funding for travel/lodging.
Schedule: The tentative schedule and topics of the lectures is given below, together with some references appropriate for each of the lectures. After the workshop has finished, there will also be a workshop dinner in the evening on Saturday, October 18. Details to follow.
